Dinner for Two…

This day went quite differently than planned. It featured an unexpected day home with DD who was on quarantine from daycare.

Overnight she was hit with some crazy stomach bug or “food disagreement”…three times I might add. Fortunately that was it and her spirits were high the whole day.

However, my husband was down for the count from dental surgery which meant it was only me and DD sitting down for dinner.

When I explained the situation to DD, she hopped over to her kitchen immediately, deciding she would be in charge of the evening meal…

Prepping the meal...

Much like her father, DD is all about creating quick-turnaround meals. The microwave in her kitchen is always on heavy rotation…

Just a quick minute in the microwave...

Once DD was satisfied with the results of her culinary efforts, we came together in the kitchen to eat our meal…

Sharesies...

We ate standing up of course. Because DD is busy!

On the sidelines toy trains are rumbling, at the ready for departure, and dollies are hollering for a diaper change.

Sometimes an on-the-go meal is needed. At least our dinner of imaginary soup was nutritious and delicious.

Day Three of Five for Five and I’ve eeked this post out at the 11th hour…literally. Today’s prompt is “pictures”. You can read more creations on this prompt at Momalom.com.

Imaginary soup always tastes the best. No doubt. And it always stays down. Thank goodness. =>

Busy busy! She reminds me of my own daughter – CONSTANTLY on the go! I wouldn’t have it any other way, of course.

So busy. I ended up falling asleep the same time DD went to bed that night. All that on-the-go exhausted me. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh yes, on-the-go meals are always needed around here. I try to feed my boys imaginary hamburgers and shoo them off to bed, but for some reason they won’t take a bite. Cooking for real is such a drag! ๐Ÿ™‚
