six word fridays: gifted

i’m neither mathematically nor artistically gifted

i also lack coordination and flexibility

don’t rely on me for directions

i’m navigationally challenged – to the extreme

i sing like a dying frog

and dance like an arthritic chicken

that’s ok – i do have gifts

i cook, bake to others’ delight

i can sew on a button

and knit up a perfect storm

cuz well, i’m crafty like that

i can change a flat tire

and make you a mean latte

prefer a cappuccino? it’s no problem

i don’t sweat those other things

i know what i’m good at

more importantly, i know my blessings

a healthy family and kind friends

generously loved – that’s how i’m Β gifted

Pretty sure you’ve seen me sing and dance. You know what I’m saying here is true. πŸ˜‰

I love it when we focus on our gifts and what we bring to people. My family went to a concert at the kids’ school where they asked them what each person’s superpower was. It was interesting to think about each of our gifts and how they relate to each other.

I’ve never changed a flat tire, but I’d like to think that with proper instructions, I might be able to ;).

Nice. I like the idea of calling these gifts “superpowers”, because they are pretty awesome to have. And for everyone, their superpower mix is just a little bit different. πŸ™‚

This is both self deprecating, and self lifting up (I know I made that up). I really enjoyed this.

“I sing like a dying frog,
and dance like an arthritic chicken.”

    Now, that is FUNNY stuff!

It’s also possible you are gifted with a way with words. Being able to self evaluate is also a gift/skill/superpower.
    and you are funny, too.
