Last night I did something new.
I ditched my comfort zone and
Shared a piece of writing publicly.
Spoken sharing is different from online.
The web gives you some distance; (more…)

Below is a photo of me
At 16 – summer before grade 11
Right before I cut it off
Growing that hair took a while
And I loved having it – mostly
Then…it felt like a burden
Cutting all that hair – It felt
Good to be freed from it

Charged with the task of waiting
For news, for whispers of fortune

Yes, this winter has been one big blegh, cough and sneeze. (more…)

looking upon trees, branches shivered bare
from Wind gusting its boastful breeze
makes me impatient for verdant spring (more…)

A trip to the library – fun!
Adventures and discoveries wait for us
Tumbling from pages opened, considered…then
perhaps selected, set aside for checkout
Yes, people who visit them know:
Libraries are a collection of treasures
Made all the richer when shared

This week I shared opportunity lost,
And celebrated acceptance and emotional growth.
In return for sharing my story,
I found support, kindness, mutual understanding.
For these reasons, I am grateful. (more…)
