by myΒ mom, together sharing history.

30 years later, i am up

early again, bleary-eyed but excited

to watch history in the making

once more. my daughter too young

to appreciate it with me – drats.

It’s Six Word Fridays AND Will and Kate’s wedding day! I couldn’t resist mixing the two into this post. πŸ™‚ For more Six Word Friday-ness, visit Making Things Up.

I didn’t even know I’d watch ~ but I was up and so glad I was! My daughter’s getting married this year ~ so I really enjoyed it! I love that you remeber watching Diana’s wedding with your mom.

      Hi Adrienne,

I really enjoyed getting up but reading all the tweets from people having tea and scones made me wish I had the same. πŸ™‚

My oldest DS is old enough; unfortunately, not interested πŸ˜‰
    Enjoy the ceremony!

You make me realize that the global ceremony is just one more excuse to vary our routine and get a little excited about something outside ourselves. Enjoy.

So true. I didn’t think I would get so excited about this wedding, but I did. I think Twitter played a part in that. πŸ˜‰

Wow, this was a fun twist on the topic! I’m glad you enjoyed it, I’m sorry your daughter wasn’t old enough to enjoy it with you! I missed both. I must just be WAY out of the loop!!

Hi Caroline – I remember when my mom woke me up for Charles and Diana’s wedding I didn’t really understand why she was waking me up. I got into it though the more I woke up. Looking back, I think she wanted someone to share in the moment with her. I’m glad we did. πŸ™‚

I watched Charles and Diana’s wedding too but skipped this one – I didn’t even realize it was going until I signed on to Twitter. Yes, I do live under a rock. A REALLY big one apparently πŸ™‚

No, not living under a rock…most likely preoccupied by things in the life a little closer to home. πŸ™‚

I’m so out of tv circulation that I missed this one. I bet the evening news will have footage!

Last time I was too young.
This time I was too sleepy.
Next time! Next time I’ll see. πŸ˜‰

My little girl doesn’t understand the significance, but she loved the idea of a real life princess and waited so see her kiss her prince.

I didn’t think I was interested, but my husband recorded it for me and I’m glad I watched it.
